I would be grateful for recommendations for lodging in Milan. Young couple for 1 night July 24 or 25 or 26; still firming-up schedule. Have a car and parking at the lodging would be desirable. Perhaps something near the Navigli or Brera districts? Not seeking luxury, desire comfort and easy-going pace.
Check Booking.com
Use the filters for parking, location, budget etc
You can book there or find the hotel website
You can trust reviews there as those can only be left by folks who have actually stayed at property
Reviews can also be filtered
You might want to check out Tocq hotel - it’s in a busy (so maybe not easygoing) but fun business / shopping/ design district adjacent to Brera- lots of young professionals and walking distance to duomo area and much more - if you don’t mind walking 25 min or so.
hey hey Jon
as ChristineH mentions, check booking.com
check filters what you want/hope for (A/C especially for july's heat, parking, area)
there are a few hotels with "parking" but are in a different location then hotel with fees, on hotel sites scroll down to travelers are asking & click "can i park here?". look at map where hotel located and if close enough to what your plans are.
check-in times: 3-4pm check-out times: 10-11am your time is very short overnight, getting ready and packing up morning, check out to get back on the road to next destination. have no clue what traffic will be like in milan (expect crazy :)
reminder about IDP is mandatory, eat risotto milanese and gelato. enjoy & have fun

Check out Art Hotel Navigli. It is less than a block from the canal and all the restaurants and bars and lovely walks along the canals after dark. My wife and I stayed there for four nights in April, we are retirees and we loved the area so much it was hard for us to leave the area and travel to the Duomo, the Last Supper etc. As a young couple, I think this area is right down your alley. Since driving can be a nightmare, please note the hotel is an easy walk to the Metro and two tram lines. We used them both since we had no car. I am 90 percent sure they have an on-site garage. Well worth it. I would return there in a heartbeat.
