I do have the RS book but can anyone give me first hand, nice reasonable (110-120 euro) triple room suggestion.
Jo, I stayed at Hotel Desiree on my last visit to Sorrento, and would certainly recommend it. It's somewhat "no frills" accommodation (there was no TV in my room), but the rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were wonderful, and they have a fantastic rooftop patio for enjoying the view and a glass of Vino in the afternoon sun. As I recall, they share a beach with Hotel Tonnarella next door (the restaurant at Tonarella has an incredible view over the bay, which is especially beautiful at night with cruise ships in the harbour). Both Hotels are at the far end of town, but I didn't find the walk to be too much of an effort. Happy travels!
When? In February, there are wonderful suites available for that price, but not in June.
I stayed in a triple at Mignon Mueble in Sorrento last May, and loved it, and I think we paid 110 E per night. Very clean, centrally located in downtown Sorrento, walkable to train/bus station. Good breakfast. Lovely outdoor patio. Rates posted on their website say triples are 90-130 Euros, depending on season.
