Pension Elios....sounds so cute, has anyone stayed here? We will be traveling by bus from the Naples airport, will we have a problem getting there? Looking into Ulisse Deluxe Hostel
also, any advice will be helpful. Thanks, Jo
My partner and I stayed at the Ulisse last September in a very large double room with a large bathroom. It was very nice, clean and quiet. They also have boat tours available. We took both the Capri and the Amalfi Coast tours, which were both quite enjoyable. I don't think you would be disappointed if you stayed at the Ulisse. Have a great trip (I envy you!)
You can catch an EAV "Linea A" bus (runs about every 20 minutes) from Piazza Tasso to the Elios. Here is the current timetable. http://www.eavbus.it/export/sites/default/eavbus/orari/ordinarie/pdfOrari/CIRCUM/Orario_estivo_con_Sorrento_By_Night.pdf Some people find it walkable but the return journey is a steady, but not steep, uphill walk! However, the road is busy and sidewalks limited. Not stayed at either but know the area well and the advantage of the Ulisse is that it is in town. Turn right from the front door, then first left and you are in the old town streets. Turn left from the front door and you go down to Sorrento's fishing harbour Marina Grande. Why not take a "walk" around both places on Google Streetview?
We stayed at Ulisse and enjoyed it alotso much in fact we are returning again this Oct-we had a large clean double and the staff is just wonderfulits very near the old town-there is a hostel section and they also do rooms like a hotel with private bath-its a wonderful facility-about a 15 minute walk from the train/bus station Paul
