In your book, Italy, 2011 edition, you mention two inns that intrigue me. One is the Beehive and the other is Gulliver's. In choosing between the two, I wonder if you have any additional insights or opinions that would tip the scale? Thanks.

I've stayed in the Beehive, and it's hands down the best place I've come across in the Termini area. It's clean, it's safe, it's cute, it's well situated.
Joseph: I have no information on the two hotels you asked about. But you should know that Rick Steves himself does not frequent this forum. We are all "members of the traveling public," just like yourself. If you're interested in reviews of these hotels, you can look at www.tripadvisor.com. But beware - anyone with an e-mail address can post a review, so a positive review may be from the owner's brother, and a negative review may be from a competitor. Be sure to look at a number of reviews, and read them carefully to see if what mattered to the reviewer matters to you. Looking at TripAdvisor, I see that Rome has both a Gulliver's Lodge and a Gulliver's House. Here are the reviews of the Beehive: http://tinyurl.com/bo9jxjd, Gulliver's Lodge: http://tinyurl.com/cu8rvro, and Gulliver's House: http://tinyurl.com/coqu6r2.
there is a new 2013 edition of the Italy Guide Book out now. You might want to check it out to see if it has any more information for you.
joseph, One point to make about The Beehive. It's a great place to stay, but very popular so it's often booked up months in advance. If you're planning to stay there, I'd suggest booking EARLY.
