Lodging in Padua

We are arriving two days prior to the Villages of Italy tour starting October2nd. I looked up the Rick Steves hotel for our first couple nights there, Hotel Al Fagiano and it doesn't look very big at all. I clicked on the link in the itinerary and it offers like four or five different colored rooms. Any suggestions on hotels in Padau just in case I can't get booked at the same hotel as where our tour begins? Linda

I stayed at Hotel Al Santo in Padova and enjoyed my time there - https://www.alsanto.it/ . It's in a nice location, the room was very comfortable, they have a nice restaurant and the staff were great. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Be sure and contact the hotel directly and state you are with the RS tour. I think they hold some rooms just for this reason.

we did the RS tour that started in Padua in April. Albergo Fagiano is a quirky artsy hotel with smallish rooms but the owners/staff/service are fantastic! great location too. email the staff and ask for a room now. they responded to me in a matter of hours when we needed a pre tour room.

Linda, we were able to book a room there for the day before our tour. They gave us a Rick Steves price of €105 with breakfast. And I requested to stay in the same room for the tour, even requested the “color theme” I preferred. We’ll see you there - can’t wait! Terri

Thank you. I called the Hotel Al Fagiano directly and was able to get the room prior to the tour beginning. Perfect. Thank you all very much.
