Is it advisable to reserve lodging in Monterosso ahead of time or wait until we get there? Booking from 3 September to 5 September. Someone recommended an apartment associated with one of the small hotels.

It is high season. Book NOW or sooner. I was turned down by three places in Vernazza for an October 5-day stay. It's busy in the CT!

Elizabeth, For travel in September, I'd suggest getting something booked SOON! It may already be too late to find something, as September is not far off. For trips to Monterosso, I typically start booking about March for travel in September. Good luck and happy travels!

Hi Elizabeth - we will see you there! We are staying at Maneul's Guesthouse at the same time, and I hear there is an excellent terrace and wine bar, so pay us a visit!
