Because it's about half way between Florence and Bologna, we want to use Barberino di Mugello as our Tuscan countryside base. We will be visiting both cities and have previously stayed at the Hotel Pendini in Florence. That was great but we want something different this time.
We have a line on two properties owned by the same family: Agriresidence Il Castellucio (www.IlCastellucio.it) and Borgo di Rubuio (www.BorgodiRubuio.it. The pictures look great and I've spoken with the owner, but we would like to check any references that may be out there.
Has anyone stayed at either of these inns? Or does anyone have any referrals for lodging in the area on the border of Tuscany and Emilia Romangna?
