My wife and I are planning to be on vacation in Umbria for 3 days in mid January. We are interested in being in around Assisi, Perugia, Spoleto. What suggestions do you have for lodging and eating?

Hi Joe. We will be in Umbria in December and while we haven't stayed there yet, my research led me to Spello. It's just outside of Assisi and not too far from Spoleto. We plan to see Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto and Gubbio from this base. I find this blog http://www.brigolante.com/blog/ to be a most useful resource. We are staying at a place called Casa Spello http://www.casaspello.com/english/welcome.php, and they have been wonderful to deal with.
