I have heard conflicting things about lockers at the Florence train station. We will be there next week for the day only before heading on to Siena. Will we be able to store our bags at the station? If so, does anyone know the cost or any other details? Thanks!
I don't believe that there are lockers at the Florence train station. They were removed for security reasons some time ago. What they do have is staffed luggage storage. Many large train stations in Italy have the same service. We've used the service in Pisa and it was 3Euro per bag.
We were there last July and we stored bags for a few hours with a staffed luggage storage. I do not recall how much it was. I do not remember seeing any lockers.
The baggage check service is inespensive and reliable. I don't recall the cost, but it wasn't much.
