Location of lion statue in 2010 Venice guidebook

I recently traveled to Venice using Rick's 2010 guidebook and could not find the location of the winged lion statue shown on the table of contents page. Can anyone tell me where in Venice I could find it? I plan to travel to Venice again next fall and would love to see it. Thanks in advance!

I don't know what statue was depicted in the book, but the winged lion is the symbol of Venice and there are several winged lion statues in the city. Perhaps the most famous is the one at the top of St. Mark's campanile.

Awesome job, Ron. I have to admit when I first saw this posting I thought that's like asking where would you find the Starbucks in Seattle. LOL. Amazing that you got an answer so quickly!

The Scale di Bovolo are also in that area. Little sign to your right (as you face the statue) directs you.
