We will be arriving by ship Aug 12 in Livorno. We have 7 hours and need suggestions . We have been to Florence and seen the main sights. Perhaps a private driving tour would work......any recommendations would be appreciated.

From Livorno, we have taken two very enjoyable day trips: one to Lucca and one to CT (more than 7 hours needed, though). Livorno itself is also fairly pleasant away from the cruise terminal... however, my suggestion given your time would be Lucca (and you could make a side trip to Pisa if you've never seen the Leaning Tower, but I would make Lucca the main focus of the day.
