I just came across this . . . don't look unless you have a lot of extra time :-) You can even see the traces of agua alta in Piazza San Marco.
It seems that there are a lot of web cams up because of the jubilee year.

I must confess that I've been watching several of these a couple of times a week and at different times of the day in anticipation of my next trip. I used to have a link to one at the Eiffel Tower but can't find it anymore and I don't see any on this link. Anyone know where or how to find ones in France?
Thanks for posting this, Chani!
The snow in San Cassiano looks just like suburban Philly this morning - without the lovely mountains and architecture, that is. Spring snow, bring it on!
I have been looking at these for a couple of years...something to look forward to.
I sometimes google "live webcam" plus the city or monument name if it doesn't show on this web page's list.
I discovered the ISS (space station) live web cam last week...fascinating! How did I not know about it!? I even got to see Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI from space as it went over on a clear day. It was pretty cool to think of it flying hundreds of miles up and passing over. I dare not start checking out Italy webcams or my days will be a total waste for sure!
My favorite Euro webcam:
I used to watch various places in Malta on this webcam, including the Gozo ferry, prior to my travels there last year. Thanks for posting! I think these webcams give you a decent feel for the seasons if you view a certain place throughout the year (Malta is almost always sunny, except when it's not :-)
The Spanish Steps camera went down a few weeks ago, must be due to the construction/refurbishing work that is going on.
