If you don't get specific responses here, don't forget you can always ask a local once you're there. Good luck.

neradeene, The only "live music" I've seen in Monterosso are the street musicians that perform at the tunnel that separates the new and old town. I've never seen any other "live music" there. Cheers!

Thanks Ken, your right, we have looked and sadly no music. We are heading to Paris soon so should enjoy some great music in the Latin Quarter.

We just came from Monterosso where we spent 5 nights. There was a live band playing music in the square right next to the water last Saturday night and I asked our hotel what the occasion was. I was told that it was to celebrate the end of summer. We stayed in Hotel Pasquale & could see and hear the music from our window. The music was really great though the stores in between songs were in Italian so I couldn't understand them. I'm sure the live music was the exception to the rule but we lucked out. Otherwise, Ken is right...the only other music we heard was in the tunnel or along the waterfront. Have a great trip.

As luck would have it we were there, dancing in the piazza. The longer we stay the more I appreciate and respect the culture of the area, so if we happen apon music again wonderful, if not, multo bene. Ciao ciao
