We are looking for a quaint and convenient place with sea view if possible to stay in Lipari for two nights in May.

Not sure how quaint, but a couple of years ago I stayed at Hotel Odissea in the Canetto area of Lipari (near beaches), about ten minutes by bus to the harbor. My room had a terrace with a view of Stromboli. Breakfast included, currently the double rate with sea view is about €60. Convenient to bus stop if you don't have a car.
