Lines at the academia

Are the lines shorter at the end of the day? 5pm? Actually will be there for one day only June 26 arriving mid morning. I know it is not ideal but decided at the last minute to squeeze Florence in to the trip. Problems with phone booking for reservation Or the official web site to book tickets?

I'm confused. The Accademia is the big museum in Venice, not Florence.

I was at the Accademia in Venice last week and saw no lines at all. Midweek, mid-day.

We have seen lines even at that hour. You can try again with the reservation phone line, or the web site is http://www.firenzemusei.it/. Hotels often offer a museum booking when you reserve the hotel.

We were there on Sunday. Also only had one day to squeeze in as much of Florence as we could. So we decided to buy the Firenze card. Expensive for just one day and it didn't pay for itself when considering the individual ticket prices, but it did when you think about the time involved.

We walked straight into the Accademia, no wait. For those in the Unreserved line, I'm guessing it might have been about 30 minutes. This was at 11am or so. We also squeezed in multiple other attractions to make it pay for itself. Sometimes time is worth more than money.
