We are ending our trip this July in Milano flying out of Linate. Any hotel recommendations that would be convenient to Linate?

Unlike Malpensa, Linate is fairly close in to central Milan. There's even a shuttle from Milan central station to Linate that takes 20 minutes. But there is a nice hotel very near Linate that has a shuttle to the airport. Take a look at the Montini hotel in Peschiera Borromeo (next to airport). As Larry said, getting to the Linate airport is easy from the Milan train station. When we stayed in Milano, we stayed in a hotel by the train station and enjoyed the sights of Milan (we had an afternoon and evening there plus a few hours the next morning.) We caught a bus that got us to Linate in plenty of time to catch our flight. Pretty easy to do.
