Lidos in Mondello Beach

My family and I know that we can book a sunbed and umbrella ahead of time on Mondello Beach either at Lido Valdesi or Lido Sirenetta. Which one is better? Also on the map to select the seat, what is a "pendana?' we keep seeing that you can select it but I don't know what it is. If anyone has any advice - please let me know. Thanks!

Check your spelling. Do you mean a “pedana”?

it is probably shown on the map but it’s not something you rent. They are plastic or wooden walkway planks posed on the sand of those beach clubs where people walk on to access the sea (that way you don’t burn your feet on the hot sand or don’t get sand inside your shoes).

Go to Google Images and enter in the search box “PEDANA DA SPIAGGIA” and look at the images of what they look like.

Thank you! Yes, my laptop autocorrected.
I looked it up and saw it meant platform but was confused because you’re able to reserve them as well as the sunbeds and umbrellas. Just trying ti figure it all out before reserving anything!

I checked the booking site below. You can book an umbrella but the pedana is only for map display, it is not reservable. I’ve spent my youth in those establishments in summer but I’ve never heard of people booking a pedana. It’s just a wooden walkway to go across the beach. You aren’t even allowed to block it with umbrellas and stuff.

Curious if you ever figured out which lido is best? We are heading there with our family in September! Thank you!
