Lido

Has anyone rented bikes on Lido? If so, would you say there is enough to see and do for a half day or a full day. No, we
probably will not be swimming. We are in Venice last part of May.

Alas, I spent so much time looking at glass last month that I didn't have time to get out to the Lido, a part of Venice I've never been to. My major reasons for wanting to go were the Art Nouveau architecture, which I love, and the cat sanctuary. There's also an historic Jewish cemetery. Otherwise, my research notes indicate that there's not much else out there except the beaches.

I assume you know there are cars on the Lido, so it would be prudent to plan your biking route carefully.

Unfortunately I can’t speak to bike rentals on Lido. I have seen bike rental agencies online but did not see cyclists during our stay. It is flat & conducive to cycling. We visited Lido in September 2018 during the Venice Film Festival. We found Lido a place to stroll Viale Santa Maria Elisabetta to enjoy the Art Deco architecture & ambience. It was mesmerizing. Lido was a great escape from Venice. We were not interested in beach time. Our main focus for our half day on Lido was part of our ancestral research. We would definitely return and consider an overnight stay! Edited to add:
