Liberation Day in Siena

First, I love this forum. her are so many helpful, kind people here. Thank you!

Here's my questions:
I will be driving to Siena from San Quirico D'orcia on April 25th, which happens to be Liberation Day. What can I expect to be open/closed? How do you advise to park, avoiding ZTL's.

Thanks in advance!

We have been in Siena on Liberation Day and pretty much everything was open (not sure about city hall). The city band made an appearance during the afternoon in IL Campo, and you will see more Italian families than tourist out and about.

Here is a website with information about parking around Siena. As long as you stay outside the city walls you should be able to avoid the ZTL's. The parking lot by the train station is the cheapest, but it is a 20-to-30-minute walk to the town center or a brief cab ride.

Edit: You will read about free parking. I would not expect to find any open spaces. Those are known and used by the locals.
