In Lavento and need to go to Venice. Best high speed way? First class? Did not enjoy Regional trains. Please advise.

No way to get around regional trains. Go to Genova PP and from there with EC or IC trains to Milano and then ES trains to Venezia

Actually there is a way to avoid regional trains for that trip. The direct IC train between Monterosso and Milan( no change in Genoa) stops at Levanto at 11:01 each day. We have taken that train, in first class. It was compartment-style, with 6 seats per compartment.

Thank you. Booked the IC train to Milan then the FB to Venice. First Class. Hopefully this will be a better experience than the Regional.
