The train runs to Roma Termini station or Tiburtina station, among other stops, and costs €14 one way. Don't forget to validate the ticket in the blue date-stamp machine before entering the track area.

Purchase your ticket at a kiosk or ticket window before you board the train.

From Termini station, you can take a cab or bus to your hotel, cost depends on mode of transportation and distance from Termini.

To add to the above replies, the €14 fare is for the Leonardo Express only, which gets you to Roma Termini Station. If you need to take a bus or taxi from there to your hotel, that's extra. Depending on how many of you are traveling, how heavy you are packing, where your hotel is, etc., you may prefer another method. A taxi from Fiumicino Airport to central Rome is fixed at €48.

Lorraine,

Without knowing the name of your hotel, it's only possible to provide very general directions. As the others have mentioned, the Leonardo Express will get you from FCO to Roma Termini station (€14 PP, 32 minutes). Note that the FM1 train also departs from FCO, so be sure to board the correct train! As Laura mentioned, BE SURE to validate your ticket prior to boarding the train, or you'll risk a hefty fine which will be collected on the spot! THIS PHOTO provides an example of that.

If you could indicate which part or Rome your hotel is located, it would be easier to offer more specific directions.

The FM1 train is now the FL1. Both the FL1 and the Leonardo Express depart from FCO and share the same platform. Make sure you take the correct one.

The Leonardo is non- stop to Termini only, the FL1 stops at Trastevere, Ostiense, Tuscolana and Tiburtina and costs €8

@Holly,

Just to clarify, that particular train seems to have several designations, depending on where you're looking. I've seen it listed as FM1, FL1 or FR1. AFAIK, those are all the same train.
