Hello more seasoned Boot travelers! We are arriving (first time to Italy) at FCO on the morning of June 9. There is a scheduled train strike from 2100 June 8 to 2100 June 9. While I understand the essential lines will run (including the LE?), I would imagine the stations will be crowded and in some level of disarray (at least through the eyes of a visitor). As such, I am leaning toward taxi or shuttle to get to our hotel, which is in the Termini area. I just figure that after the long flight, etc., the added stress of a busy terminal with inconsistent trains running is not something I want to start the trip with... Am I being too concerned/cautious/overthinking? Guidance is appreciated.
I assume that Sam is talking about the Terravision shuttle bus that goes from FCO to Termini. The fare is €4.00.
The Leonardo Express always runs, even if there is a strike. Shuttle service is much cheaper than the train.
The taxi rate is fixed at 48E for up to 4 people. You didn't indicate the number in your party.
