How many days do you suggest to visit Verona, Padua, Ravenna and Venice?
And where to base yourself - planning to visit in April.

We were there last fall
Spent 3 nights in Padova, 3 nights in Verona and 2 in Ravenna
Didn’t visit Venice that trip-been there multiple times- but Venice needs a minimum of 3 nights
Padova would be a good base for Venice and Verona -it would probably be least expensive lodging of the 3
Ravenna is about 2 hour train ride from Padova with a change in Bologna or Ferrara-that would be too far for me as a day trip

I'd suggest a week, or maybe a little more, for all those places, with most of it in Venice. Padua is an easy train ride from there, and could be a base for the other mainland cities. Picking one of those mainland cities as a base and doing day trips from there would probably simplify your non-Venice days by keeping you in the same place each night.
