OK Please dont chastise and kick me off =) .............I was watching Samantha Brown..... and she was in sorrento and did a tour of a lemoncello making place (business, factory) I don't remember name, if she said it. I'm good with there being many of these types of places, that sell their homemade products, instead of that particular one, but my main concern is if any of them are open on Sunday. We will have very little time monday morning if need be but will have several hours sunday and are hoping to tour or at very least buy some lemoncello while in sorrento. hope that all made sense =) Thanks again again

The SBrown web site answers all your questions, it took 30 seconds on The Google to find all of it http://www.travelchannel.com/TV_Shows/Samantha_Brown/Episodes_Travel_Guides/ci.Episode_Amalfi_Coast.map http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=Villa+Massa http://www.villamassa.com/VillaMassaStore/showpage/92?LANGUAGE_ID=2
Rik- Thank you for the correction =) Otariidae- Thank you. I'm sorry I didn't think of such an obvious answer to my question. I shall think longer before asking something.
Plenty of places will be open even on Sunday. I can't remember for sure if the place in the lemon grove that was on the RS episode will be open but I think it was. Sample before you buy....not every bottle is created equally.
in the "old" section of Sorrento there are plenty of places where they offer free tastes. I made several bottles at home and kept them in the freezer and they lasted a long time. The recipe is pretty easy although it takes weeks of waiting between the steps. Back in the US, BEVMO carries lots of brands.
And just so you know, it is pretty easy to find Villa Massa Limoncello on plenty of US based websites so you can also buy it at home fairly easily. We just found some at Twin Liquors here in Austin.
And if inspired afterwards, you can make your own (not as good obviously with the lemons we can get here, but I can make a modest substitute at a fraction of the price to buy it at the liquor store). Google will provide plenty of recipe choices.
