Is it possible to store luggage for a few hours at the Santa Maria Novella train station in Florence? If so, where and how much does it cost?

I remember that we couldn't find a left luggage place, and we needed it. Then when we got on the train finally there it was, right next to the tracks and very hidden from the waiting area. A sign would have helped! You'll have to find someone to ask. The restroom was chained shut part of the time, too.
