Lecco or Dervio for Lake Como in Winter?

Hi there,

I'm staying two nights this weekend on Lake Como, and am choosing between Lecco and Dervio. I won't have a car and am travelling alone. Just looking for some quiet time and nice walks along the water, maybe a boat ride (if they're available) or cable car (again, if available). Does Dervio have nicer views? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I know nothing about Dervio, but from what I can see on Google maps, it's much closer to the mountainous end of the lake and is smaller than the fairly large city of Lecco. This is your adventure; if you feel you don't have enough info to make a decision, just flip a coin and try one. Or leave early, go to one, and look around before committing to a hotel; it shouldn't really be necessary to book ahead.

I also know nothing about Dervio, but Lecco is easy to reach and when we checked it out briefly between trains we thought we'd like to return there. Have a great trip!
