At the last minute, my Airbnb was cancelled. I am looking for accommodation for 3 people (myself and a son and his friend). I would like to keep it under 800 Euros for 3 nights. The issue I am having is that I am finding no or few reviews of places or simply, bad reviews. We can do 2 separate rooms too if need be. If anyone has some first-hand experience with accommodations in Lecce, I would be grateful.
Have a look a Booking.com. The reviews on there are from people who have stayed.
Last October we stayed here for 10 nights and you can read my review from then: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/18428374?check_in=2026-08-25&check_out=2026-08-28&guests=3&adults=3&s=67&unique_share_id=7730eef6-3583-4e79-a12e-11950a71bd78
You don't mention your dates, but I put in 3 nights in August and it was under 800 dollars although maybe there was a small city tax --- I don't remember. There are actually 3 bedrooms although one is downstairs between the living room and the kitchen. I really loved this apartment and its location. Let me know what you think.
It looks beautiful! It is only available for 2/3 nights we are there. Thank you for posting.
Lin C - I have been using Booking as well.
This may be an obvious thing to say, but even though I've booked about 70 apartments in Italy, I still forget how very small and walkable the centers are. So, even though we prefer to stay in the historical centers, sometimes I have to look just outside the center. In Lecce, for example, it's only a 13 minute walk all the way across the old town from Porta San Biagio to Porta Napoli --- just outside the city gates you might be able to find your apartment and still easily walk to all the Lecce sites and restaurants and the train station. Sorry to mention this if you've already expanded your search!
We were scheduled to stay at Attico Barocco B&B in October but had to cancel our trip. It had great reviews and was recommended on another forum. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and gracious with our cancellation.
My first choice was Attico Barocca, but it is sold out on my dates.
I am now looking a bit outside Lecce - a shame as I really wanted to stay in Lecce ( dreamy architecture).
