After we arrive back from our cruise we are going to Orvieto overnight, do not want to drag all our luggae, just a carryone, can we store our luggae overnight at Termini Safely and what would the cost be apox per bag?

Check with RoninRome.com from prices. It is manned facility on the south side of the station on the lower level.

Have stored luggage at Termini and it was pretty painless. Just a tip allow plenty of time to deposit or pick up your luggage because lines can be long at busy times. Perhaps deposit it before you buy your train tickets, then no worries about missing your train.
