My two sons (ages 10, 13) are going to the Cinque Terre from Florence. I booked at hotel in La Spezia and planned to leave baggage there and then collect on our return after hiking the 5 towns. Anyone know if there is a Baggage Deposit at the Station and if this is wise?

Hi Rebecca, If you're wondering if you should keep the hotel res. or not, I wouldn't. As far as the Baggage Depost in LaSpezia is concerned, we just returned leaving our luggage there and had no trouble at all. I think the gentleman that runs it, doesn't stay there because you have to ring a doorbell on the door and wait until he arrives (one time he came immediately and on the return, it was about a 10 min wait). But he locks it up and it's very safe. I wouldn't worry about your sons luggage being there. *He closes at 10PM.
