Leaning Tower tickets online

I used the email address in Rick's book, opapisa.it to buy Tower tickets within 20 days of our visit . I seem to be missing something? When I select the Tower and scroll down to ticket availability there is a clock-time,and no dates and/or times? When I push it to maybe move on I go nowhere. So the question is how do I purchase a ticket? I am using my IPad. Thanks

I have just tried it on a laptop and it works. On the first screen I selected the date. On the second screen it came up with the Leaning Tower at the top followed by other options. I simply clicked on move forward on the button next to the Leaning Tower and it took me to a page where it said I have selected a certain date and gave me a drop down menu of times. I clicked o na time and then on the add to shopping cart button.

If you are having problems try clearing your browser history as a first step. If that doesn't work consider using a different web browser to Safari.

Thanks for your reply. It gives me hope. I did not see any of what you saw on your pages. This is the only reservation system I have had issues with for our trip.

I'm using Firefox on a Windows 7 machine, and get the same results as mph.

Here is the direct link to the calendar; you click on your desired date to buy tickets. It then tells you this is not the right page, but if you click the link on that page, it takes you to the right page (weird, I know - but that's an Italian website for you): http://boxoffice.opapisa.it/Turisti/app;jsessionid=D7E98CDDD166CB57F9C61EED73029741?component=linknuovoordineEn&page=Home&service=direct&session=T

I just want to emphasize mph's point about trying a different browser. For no clear reason, sometimes you get totally different results. iPads come with Safari, but you can also get Chrome and Firefox (as well as other, less famous ones, like Opera and Dolphin). They're always free to download, so don't hesitate to get a new one if the ones you have won't work with a particular page. Similarly, if you still can't get it to work in the iPad, try a laptop/desktop.

Glad you made it work. I'm just curious - what did the trick? It may help someone else to know what you did that worked.

I used the opapisa.it from the guide book in my IPad not the box office link. Then all was clear. The site with Rick was not specific enough and should be changed. Again thanks for your help.

There's a place on RS website where people can give feedback/suggested corrections on the guidebooks - can't remember exactly where. Would be good to send your feedback about the lack of clarity. RS staff will improve that in the next edition.

enjoy that stop! you certainly made the rt choice getting tickets on line.
learn from our mistakes.....get off at the CORRECT train station... we got off like 2 miles away.
there will be a place to leave your day pack.....nothing goes up the tower w you but a camera. use the restrooms there at the left luggage place...... the field of Miracles was the only place that our group of 4 got separated by accident on our trip.....took a crazy hour to find each other.... we were there on a Sunday afternoon and there were no places open in town for a snack and restroom
