how long would it take on foot to get from pisa central to the leaning tower?
Google maps says the walk is 1.8 or 2 kilometers, based on route. But only you know how long it takes you to walk that far.
Barry,
It took us 20-30 minutes, or so, to walk to the leaning tower from Pisa Centrale station.
If you don't want to walk, you can always take a bus.
If you're planning to climb the tower, you may want to book your ticket in advance: http://boxoffice.opapisa.it/Turisti
Barry, Priscilla is correct. It took me and my friend last Oct less then 30min. to walk there, there are basically two main streets that head to the Tower. You will need a ticket to walk up the Tower and bags/large purses are not allowed up it, you can hand carry cameras. Across the grass field, behind the Tower is a locker room that houses the bags for those heading up the Tower.
Enjoy.
