These are small, quiet coastal towns fully open in the hot Summer months, and partly open Spring, Autumn, Winter. The sandy beaches along the Adriatic Sea are open all year long of course. Plenty of boating harbors. Plenty of tasty fresh seafood.

Ancona is the capital of Le Marche and may have the longest stretch of the Adriatic, but smaller towns south like Porto San Giorgio, Porto D' Asco, Grottommare, and San Benedetto del Tronto are lovely beach towns with great hotels and restaurants.

I get a thrill riding Trenitalia along the coastline. The tracks are nearly in the Sea and I love the rush I get from watching the Adriatic mile after mile.

Le Marche is popular with tourists from other parts of Europe, drawn to the sandy beaches and the sun.

Lots of hill towns away from the coast as well. Website above is good. Not many American tourists compared to other regions of Italy.
