One thing I'm sure the kids will love is the Frasassi Caves. They are astounding, and there are tours in English. The Touring Club of Italy publishes a guide to Le Marche in English, which you might want to get. Traveling with children is different from what we've done. The guide would help you pinpoint some destinations that will appeal to them. Just be sure, when picking a place to stay, that you remember that in Le Marche the east/west roads go through mountainous terrain. Allow for that when figuring how long a drive will take.
