We will be in the region of Le Marche in October, based in Urbino and Ascoli Piceno. I was wondering if someone could recommend a private tour guide. I’m having difficulty finding a guide online as this region is not a major destination in Italy.

I didn't go to Urbino, and I did not use a guide in AP, but both will have a central tourist office and are as well equipped for tourism as most places in Italy--you won't have any trouble finding a guide locally.

Be sure to have a Sambuca con la Mosca in Ascoli Piceno--the fried sage leaves are fantastic too (I did not care for the fried olives as much)
