Booking a ticket using the Le Domus Romane di Palazzo Valentini website appears to carry a €29.99 service fee. Am I reading it correctly? That seems excessive for a €13.50 ticket. Are there other ways to obtain a ticket without incurring such a large service fee?

No, that's not right. Are you using the www.tosc.it site that is linked from the official site Palazzo Valentini? What makes you think there is a 30E service fee?

I went to www.palazzovalentini.it, which appears to be the official website, and then used the Booking your visit link which takes you to a ticketone.it website. The small print says there are additonal fees, and when I reviewed the additional fees they ranged from €9.99 to €29.99 depending on your location - i.e. USA was listed as €29.99. That fee didn't seem right - hence my question.

Tickets are 12 euros with a 1.50 euro fee. You are seeing a fee for shipping tickets to you. You want to click on the pick up at box office option. If you choose any of the shipping options it will add from 9.99 to 29.99 to your tickets.
