Lazzaretto Nuovo - Tours Available, worth it? (Venice)

Venetians!

I saw online that Lazzaretto Nuovo has starting offering tours (guided only about 75 minutes in length) on Saturdays and Sundays at two different times. http://www.lazzarettonuovo.com/visit-the-island/

Has anyone tried the tour? We don't speak Italian, but I imagine if we study up a bit on the archeological project and the history, then what we see would be interesting enough without understanding the tour guide. But, that being said, I will have a 6 and 10 year old with me.

Any thoughts/opinions?

not worth if none understand Italian;
and don't possibly, (it could happen) spoil a tour with others who paid and understand what is going on by bringing kids that don't and may not be interested

We visited a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Our guide was a young volunteer with adequate English. It was fun getting away from the crowds in Venice.
