18 Euros wasted. Arrived at the ticket window at 13.10 and said Laurentian Library. Barrelledalked to area and was told closed! Another couple also disappointed and couldn't even see the Michaelangelo staircase. Sign bythe ticket office said open until 17.30. Nearby at the Medici-Riccardi the ticket clerk said, "Oh, the library has crazy hours."

Up to Nov. 2 the Library will be open:
Mon, Wed, Thur and Fri 8,30 – 13,30 Last entrance at 13,00
Tue 8,30 – 16,30
From Nov. 2:
Mon– Wed– Fri 8.15 – 13.45
Tue– Thur 8.15 – 17.15
Note that the Library will be closed on Nov. 1.
As I can remember the Library has never been open on Monday afternoon, but maybe Roberto will chime in and correct me.

I am sure it is more the disappointment from not getting to see it than the loss of €18. I really hate it when I do that (you can ask me about my last $20 I lost….and had to spend the second time). Sorry!
