Laundry -W/D/F in Florence and/or Pisa

Hello Everyone!

My wife and I will be on our honeymoon next week! It's going to be fantastic! I've been looking around around for a full service laundromat where we can drop off our laundry and have it done for us either if Florence or in Pisa, half-way through our trip, so we don;t have to bring two weeks worth of clothing. I've been in contact with our hotels, and they;lve recommended only sel-fservice laundromats, which I'd rather avoid because I'd rather enjoy my time sight-seeing. Our Hotel in Pisa can do our laundry for us, but the reviews mention a hefty price tag ~10 euro/shirt.

Does anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks!

Kyle

We have done self-service laundry in the evening in Florence, Paris, Nice, Jerusalem, Munich, Salzburg ... can be an interesting "temporary local" experience and perhaps a restful time in a go-go-go trip. (Not as much fun in the rain, through.) Locals have to wash their clothes, too.

I was hoping Rick Steves' book had advice for you and in following up on his recommended self[serve place I found this site. This entry may fit your needs

LAVANDERIA PATRIZIA
This shop offers both dry cleaning and regular washing services. Regular washing prices depend on the weight of the clothes. They deliver clean clothes to your place of residence for free. They are open Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 1:00 PM and from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Address: Viale Volta 183/c

Not sure where you're staying in Florence, but you might consider Lavanderia Iris, Via Guelfa 106. Pricing is also by weight.

We did self serve in Florence. The laundromat was a 5 minute walk North of the Duomo, but I cant recall the name. Hotel offered to do our laundry for 6 or 8 EUR per piece. So it would have been over 100 EUR!! No way man!!! We found the experience to be fun for a couple hours. While trying to buy a token, I ended up with a box of soap!! Oh well.. We do laundry a couple times on each trip, no big deal. But I certainly understand not wanting to spend your honeymoon in a laundromat!!! Have fun!!!

We often do the drop-off early in the AM then either pick up later or have the clothes delivered to our place. Usually costs about €20-25.

In Italy have always found lavanderias for drop off, launder, dry, fold service available. Laundry bag is weighed and charged per kilo. No vacation time wasted in a laundromat.
I found one online in Florence which sounds like the ones I have used, Lavanderia il Giglio, 82/r Via dell’Agnolo, 50121 Florence, Tel +39 338 839 3209
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. Enjoy beautiful Italy!

By Santa Croce, Lavanderia il Giglio - they're open until 6:00 PM most days (on the weekend I think they close earlier) - laundry is by weight, so just bag it up and they'll weigh it, same with Lavendaria Manfredi by the San Lorenzo Market (which is open until 7:00 PM).
