Does anyone know of a laundry service in Bologna where the company picks up clothes from hotel, wash/dry/fold, and return in 24 hours? Would also consider a self-service laundry near the central train station. Info about this option appreciated as well!

The term in Italian is Lavanderia for laundry. Self service Lavanderia is a pretty self explanatory but there are service places as well.
Lavanderia Wash In Bo….Sartoria,Stireria Via Milazzo, 19i/l, 40125 Bologna BO, Italy looks like a drop off and pick up place a few blocks from the train station but I'm sure there are other options.
Search from the US for background and have a list. You can then investigate and maybe inquire at your hotel. Websites for businesses in Italy are notoriously unreliable so just do what research you can.

In all of our many years I have never encountered a laundry service that would pick up your dirty clothes, and return later. I have used hotels that would return your clean clothes to the room. However, the majority of laundries we have used have a wash and fold option where you can leave your laundry and return in a few hours to pick up folded laundry. Laundries are everywhere and easy to find.
