laundry - self service

I can't recall if there's a self service laundry in Positano (I don't recall seeing one). If you're going to Sorrento afterwards, there is a laundromat there.

It would be unusual for a town not to have a self laundry. We always ask the hotel for directions. And a couple of time the hotel, especially the small ones, has offered to do the laundry for a reasonable fee.

Consider looking for a laundry that does a bundle drop service instead of washing the clothes yourself. After all, the time you spend babysitting a washer/dryer could be spent seeing some amazing things instead. If you decide to do the drop service, be sure to ask if they will fold your clothes when they come out of the dryer. We didn't ask that once, and picked up our clothes to find them all crammed into the bag that we brought them in. And since they had been crammed in there hot out of the dryer, they had wrinkles that then wouldn't come out.

We did our laundry in Sorrento. Plan a dinner in Sorrento while your laundry is in machines however I recall that they are noit open late.

I think doing your own laundry is a great way to get a little R&R. We did ours in the afternoon, had a gelato while the clothes were washing, read a bit more from some guidebooks during drying time.
