Lorraine, Yes, there are absolutely Laundromats close to Termini in Rome. One that you might try is at about Via Palestro 68, at the corner of Via Vicenza (right around the corner from a Hostel that I often stay at). I can't recall if it's a service wash facility or whether they also offer self serve. While you're waiting for your laundry, you might stop for a fine hot meal at Trattoria I Leoni d'Abruzzo, which is right on the corner. As I recall, the food is really good! There's also Taverna Pretoriana around the corner. It's usually very busy and the food there is good also. Happy travels!

Best bet: Lava Secca in Campo dei Fiori. Drop off in the AM and pick up your laundered and folded clothes about 6:00PM. They did a 21" roll-aboard for us for €20 a couple of years ago. Since a load in a laundromat - if you can find one - will cost at least €8, €20 for full service is a steal and you don't have to spend your precious vacation time doing laundry!

Laundries everywhere. Just ask your hotel. We used one just one block south of Termini, out the south door, across the street from Hotel Contilla. Self or they will do it for you. Chose the latter. Maybe 10E for a pretty good load. Price doesn't make much difference - it is what it is.
