Are the launderettes open in Italy on Sundays? We like to travel on Sundays on would like to do our laundry after we arrive in Rome and Florence. Thanks for any information.

We washed our clothes at Acqua Chic. It is not far from the Leptano metro station. The Yelp listing says it is open on Sundays

Generally open on the weekend when many of the locals use them. We find less demand early in the morning on a mid-week day.

It may depend on the individual store, but I know I did my laundry on a Sunday in Florence and Sorrento...

Do a Google search for laudromats the city and neighborhood where you will stay and the laundromats should show up on the resulting map. If you then click on each name you should be able to see the times open. I have used this method in many countries and cities.

Although I see at least one exception in Rome, most of the launderettes mentioned in Rick's Italy book are open daily and long hours.
