We will be on RS Best of Sicily trip this September and staying in Sorrento
for a few days prior to the tour.
Curious, if anyone was able to find a suitable location near the tour hotel while
in Trapani. From the itinerary, it looks like both those evenings a free nights.

Save yourself the hassle on your $9000 trip and ask your innkeeper to do your laundry.
For €35, your laundry will come back clean and dry.

The place where most people did their laundry was in Ortigia. There was a staffed laundromat just 2 blocks from the hotel. They could do same day service for you or you could do your own. One real plus was that the machines took contactless credit cards so no worries about having correct change. I did laundry there with no difficulties.
Usually the hotel there also offers in house laundry service, but the nun who usually provides this service was ill during our tour so that was not an option for us.

We did our own laundry in Ortega, very close walk to the laundry. Many machines and we put our laundry in and found a bar close by for a beverage. Bring wash sheets, very easy. We were there in March.
