Laundry Detergent "Sheets"

Just a quickie - has anybody used the small laundry detergent "sheets" sold at some of the travel sites? Somebody commented they didn't "suds up" much. So much lighter than woolite though....

I tried the ones from Travelon and wasn't impressed. Lilttle suds, hard to tell if there was enough soap to do any cleaning, smell a little "girly" for me.

I agree with Frank...Mine came from Magellans...really no suds. I guess it is handy in a pinch, but if I had known, I probably wouldn't have purchased.

Someone left behind some Tide sheets in an apartment we rented in Rome. We didn't use them since we had a washer. You might look for these, maybe they work better.

why bother? you can buy little bottles of woolite in Italy with no problem (if you're doing hand wahsing) or the washing machine tablets if you have a machine - really easy to just buy a box and put them in a ziplock to take along to your next place.

Thanks - appreciate the input. Glad I didn't bother buying any. I think I'll just do that....wait and buy a little woolite bottle when we get there - one less thing for the airport "liquids bag." Would it be in the Pharmecie?

nope. Pharmacy will only sell meds., etc. no detergents or cleaning products - you can find it in a supermarket (most small groceries too) or, my favorite odd little shops in Italy...the cleaning product shops ;-) seriously...there's one I know who's name translates to "for the cleaning of the house and the hygiene of the person" ;-) cracks me up every time! Luckily, the Woolite looks the same as in the US...if you can't find it, just look for something that says "a mano" near all the laundry detergents.

Louise,

I used the Tide sheets and they were fine. I had no problem.
