We'll be spending 5 nights in both of these towns and will need to get some laundry done, preferably in Montepulciano. Can anyone point us to a self service laundromat? Failing that, a laundry service?

I have always used laundries in that area with drop off, wash, dry, fold service. Save your precious time for visiting Tuscany’s sights. I have usually paid by the kilo.

Last year when I was visiting Siena, I did my laundry at Lavanderia Waterland on Via dei Rossi, 94.
The detergent is automatically dispensed during the wash cycle so you don’t need to bring or buy your own.
BTW, there’s a delicious gelateria, 'Kopakavana' (recommended by my b&b owner) on the way down to the lavandería on the same street.
I visited the church of St. Francis, just down the street from the lavanderia, while my clothes were getting dry.

I did find a laundromat in Montepulciano as well: Bolle di sapone, Viale I Maggio, 3. If you are driving it is located just as you enter town, across from the park.
