There is a fabulous WWII museum outside of Latina we visited on a tour; and we want to return. We have a couple of days November 20-22 to leave Siena and go to Latina via a train to Latina Scalo. It looks like we should plan to stay in Latina; more hotel options maybe? It doesn't look very touristy, but I thought I could find something. Then I planned to take a taxi/Uber to Piana Delle Orme for the day, back to Latina for one more night and Rome the next day.
Does that sound reasonable? I haven't contacted a tour guide for this. I thought I could plan it myself (with help from this forum). The tours don't stay at the museum long enough. It is huge.
Thanks for any input. Hotel/food recommendations would be appreciated too.
