Corriere della Sera News is reporting (see link below) about the validity status of the Italian Super Green Pass (or functional equivalent - our CDC white card) based on the BOOSTER date. Looks like Italian Government is seriously thinking of setting OPEN-ENDED VALIDITY for those who have gotten the Booster, while leaving validity at six months for those who have only gotten a second shot.
Article says something to the effect that ONLY in the event that EU & Italian Health Organizations were to authorize a fourth shot (2nd booster) -- would the validity time period be revisited.
The article also notes that there are around 100,000 Italian super green passes which would expire early March with a six-month validity rule -- hence the need to make revisions quickly.
This really has my hopes up that an Italy trip this Spring/Summer could be a reality. See if you are reading this the same way I am. Hopefully, I'm not filtering through rose colored glasses!
