Late August Honeymoon Rome to Northern Italy and Swiss

For our honeymoon my fiancé and I are planning on spending 3 weeks in late August into September in Rome and then off to Northern Italy and Switzerland. We are big food people and hope to get an agroturismo stay in! I sort of have HUGE ambitions and might be looking for some tempering...

Here are my initial thoughts:

Fly into Rome and spend a few nights 3-4

Train to Bolzano region and rent a car. 4-5 nights. See Utsi, hike, eat

Drop rental car in Sondrio then catch the Bernina Express to St Moritz (1 Night) and then the Glacier Express to Zermatt

3-4 Nights in Zermatt then off to Cinque Terre via Aosta, and via the Langhe Valley to use up whatever remaining time.

ANY AND ALL SUGGESTIONS PLEASE. Booking the tickets tonight :)

Thanks

-Sam

Instead of St. Moritz, stay in pretty Pontresina, the next town over, traditional decorated buildings. Much better than ugly concrete building filled St. Moritz. There is a shuttle train between SM and Pontresina.
Langhe Valley, Piemonte. Stay in or near Alba. It is easy to visit the surrounding Wine villages from there. It is much less touristed than many parts of Italy, beautiful.

We've been to St. Moritz and Pontresina many times and like both. My cousin lives in between in a beautiful town called Samedan. When we visit we stay there. St. Moritz has the lake and the glitz and Pontresina has several mountain ski lifts nearby as does SM. Pontresina may be a little cheaper, but you can't go wrong in either place.

Buon viaggio,

I do not know the region very well, but it looks to me that the only convenient way to travel between Zermatt and Aosta would be by helicopter.
