We are arriving in Venice on a late flight (23:10). What is the best way to get from the airport (Marco Polo) to our hotel near St Mark's Square? Do the water taxi's run all hours?

The Alilaguna public transport boats (Blue Line) pick up passengers at the airport all the way up to 00:15 so you might be able to catch one depending on the time to de-plane and go through customs etc.

The Water Taxis have a 24 hour line you can call to get a water taxi

Also if you have the Rick Steve's Venice book the "connections" section has lots of details for the land taxi's/busses that can get you to Venice where you can catch a vaporetto.

As I recall, the vaporetti do not run all night. Water taxi is probably the best option at that hour.

But do note that there will be additional charges from a water taxi running that late.
