Last Supper tickets ...next grouping for sale?

We are seasoned travelers and Rick affecianados. I keep checking the official website daily to see when the August, September, October group of tickets are open for buying. Is there a specific date expected where they move to open the next grouping? I know rhe details of how to do everything on the site. Just wondering if there is a specific date to check. We will be in Italy in the fall for the first time and are looking forward to another amazing trip! Thanks.

mgotravel, I'd recommend La Tavernaccia. It is old-school Roman all the way. Start with the misto affettati, a plate of cured meats and cheeses. There is no better way to end your trip to Rome!

According to the information given on the official website, cenacolovinciano.org,
it looks like tickets will go on sale 3 months from 3/14:

Reservations* will open every three months and are active through these channels:
(*Tuesday, March 14 starting at 12 noon, tickets related to admission for the months of May, June and July 2023 will go on sale through the usual purchasing channels)

Be prepared to book your tickets the day they go on sale as they sell within minutes!

Good luck!

I have had 6/14 marked on my calendar to buy tickets for September but now I don’t know if in fact tickets will go on sale tomorrow. The official website has not been updated (still says tickets through July 31 will go on sale at 1200 CET March 14!).

Anyone have any other info? I’ll probably set my alarm to try anyway.

Hi there...yes, we are setting an alarm tomorrow morning also. We have been looking for updates, too.

Yeah, we've waited over 500 years to see it...so what's another day? Sigh. No luck yet for us, either. I'm going to call the phone number using WhatsApp now.

So the phone number gives an option to press 2 for English. This is followed by a message in Italian that says something like "Due to excess call volume, we are sorry we cannot assist you at this time." Then it hangs up. I tried this a couple of times to be sure. Also, I found the following on a different page within their website: "On Tuesday, September 27, starting at noon, tickets related to admissions for November 2022, December 2022 and January 2023 will go on sale through the usual purchasing channels." So what this means is we may have to check the website daily, or more than once a day, to buy tickets. Because this sentence indicates to me that they do not always release the next grouping of tickets on exactly the 14th :( Keep us posted if you get tickets, everyone!

So I keep checking the website daily, even though I dont need tickets for another 2 groupings (November). I am basically just trying to learn their schedule in advance. Anyway, the other day, a bunch of time slots opened up for next week so I did a practice run of how to buy tickets. The site is so confusing. The site says tickets are 15 euro, but the only tickets you are able to select to buy are 20 euro each. I dont mind spending the extra 5 on a ticket, but just want to make sure they are in fact the correct ticket for the last supper. Like I said, super confusing website.
I also read on a different site tickets go on sale the 27th of the months, but the last batch went on sale the 14th. So gotta stay ready!!

I too am waiting for the next set of tickets to go on sale. I have had it on my calendar all week long. Will update if i find the out the date.

When I was waiting to buy my tickets for May the notification went up on the site about a week before the tickets went on sale.

I have read that tickets go on sale 45 days before the next grouping which would be the 16th. Some confusion as to whether it's at 8am or noon. So I'm setting my alarm for both.

Audrey,

Thanks for the different times. I now have both alarms set now too.

I'd recommend registering with vivaticket ahead of time so you don't lose time on the day of purchase. Also, log in around 15 minutes ahead of the drop time and then just refresh if needed. They put everyone in a queue since only so many can get in at the exact time that the tickets become available. If you wait until the exact time, it may be more than 30 minutes before you can access the site which will reduce your chance of getting the ticket you want.

And another data point, I purchased December 2022 tickets on September 27th.

Their instagram page says the next grouping of tickets will go on sale online June 27 (for Aug, Sept & Oct).

@Cynthia and @Judy
Did the post give a time? 8am or noon?
I'm getting tired of waking up at 2am!
Thanks, Audrey

We tried and tried to get tickets and weren't able. We arrived in Milan on the early train ( we were going to Milan anyway) and went straight to the ticket office, thought we'd take a chance, why not. When we asked for two tickets for that day, her reply was, "for what time?" Give it a try, we did.

This is hopeful. I'll be there in October, just for a few hours on my way to Venice and I'll admit, I'd pretty much decided to skip trying to see the Last Supper because of crowds and difficulty getting tickets, but I'm rethinking it now.

I'll be coming from Varenna and I'll need to store my luggage, then walk to the exhibit, so I'm a little worried about being there at a specific time.

@Audrey, The IG account says they will go on sale at noon CET (not sure what time that is for you). Good luck to us all!

You may already know this, but to set up your account with Viva Ticket (to hopefully buy your Last Supper tickets tomorrow!) you must enter your name, address, passport number and cell phone number, including +1 if you are in the US before the number. This morning, I set up my account and did not receive the "verification code" the first time I saved my cell phone number. So I had to do it again, taking about 15 minutes. If you did not already set up your account to purchase tickets, please do so today so you don't have a problem like I did. I hope everyone gets their tickets for the day they want tomorrow!

I’m confused. I registered on the official ticket website but it never asked for my phone number or wanted to confirm it. Just my email. Have I missed an important step?

Hi Susan, my account on Vivaticket only has my email, no field to enter phone number. I hope you are successful in getting your tickets--I'm counting down the last five minutes!

Yes, no phone number needed for me either. I got mine after two heart stopping errors. I had several credit cards at the ready! Good luck all!

@Susan - I had the same issue. Registered awhile ago because of tips here only to find out they wanted more information and I couldn't figure out how to enter it! Found the edit button at last. For anyone reading this - there are still tickets.

It was a bit tricky. I finally found what to click on when it said it was missing info. It wanted the individual names of who will be using the tix.

I think the phone number was optional. We got our tickets for October! Thank you to everyone who helped us on this forum. Let's hope the crowds lighten up a bit by then!
